Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a (meth)acrylic ester useful as a polymerizable compound of a monomer capable of easily producing a polymeric liquid crystal having a desired phase transition temperature by varying a terminal substituent alone which is a process for producing a (meth)acrylic ester capable of easily producing a series of compounds whose terminal substituents alone are different from one another through a common intermediate with the use of the same starting raw material.SOLUTION: A specific (meth)acrylic ester is produced by reacting a specific (meth)acrylic group-containing phenol with a specific carboxylic acid chloride.
