FRONT AND REAR REVERSING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a risk of trouble when inserting paper sheets having length which does not adapt to regulation by improving handling of paper sheets different in length.SOLUTION: The front and rear reversing device includes: a first conveyance path and a second conveyance path; a reversing mechanism that has a reversing conveyance path; a take-in roller that takes in the paper sheets from the first conveyance path to the reversing conveyance path; an ejection roller that ejects the paper sheets from the reversing conveyance path to the second conveyance path; and a switching roller that switches a direction of a rear end of the paper sheets taken in the reversing conveyance path of the reversing mechanism from the first conveyance path to the second conveyance path. The reversing mechanism has a limiter that comes in contact with a front end of the paper sheets taken in and energizes the paper sheets in an ejection direction from the reversing conveyance path by elastic force, and a guide that separates the limiter from the reversing conveyance path when the limiter moves to exceed a first distance in a taking-in direction of the reversing conveyance path.
