PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair eliminating or preventing the problem that a support base has a complicated construction to mount a upper and lower covers.SOLUTION: The chair includes the upper and lower covers the outside of the support base. The support base includes an upper and lower sharing attachment part 103 for engaging the upper locking pawl 91 of the upper cover and the lower locking pawl 95 of the lower cover. The upper and lower sharing attachment 103 includes: an engaging end surface 111 to which the upper locking pawl 91 is engaged; an engaging end surface 109 to which the lower locking pawl 95 is engaged; a locking end surface 117 locking lateral displacement of the upper locking pawl 91 for preventing the lateral displacement; and an locking end surface 119 locking the displacement of the lower locking pawl 95 for preventing the lateral displacement.
