PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a showcase for locally cooling an upper area of any merchandise shelve.SOLUTION: The showcase includes: the merchandise shelves 21-27 provided at a plurality of stages along the vertical direction of a back side panel 3 defining a storage chamber 2 of a case body 1; an air circulation device 10 for circulating air between the inside and outside of the chamber 2; and an evaporator 15 for cooling the air circulated by the air circulation device 10. The showcase also includes: a front closing member 40 arranged at front edges of any of the merchandise shelves 26, 27 for closing the upper areas of the merchandise shelves 26, 27 as necessary; an introduction fan F2 allowing part of the air cooled by the evaporator 15 to flow into the upper area from an inlet 50 formed in the back panel 3; and discharge holes 411 provided near a place of the merchandise shelves 26, 27 where the front closing member 40 is arranged for discharging the air flowing from the introduction fan F2 to the outside of the upper area.
