Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a catalyst electrode for an alcohol fuel cell exhibiting excellent CO poisoning resistance.SOLUTION: When electrode paste is produced, an appropriate amount of readily volatile solvent is added in addition to an essentially required paste solvent and kneaded for 90 hours or longer. When oxide nanoparticles are dispersed uniformly, only the readily volatile solvent is removed in a vacuum system thus preparing a paste having a viscosity of (10-30 Pa s) required for uniform coating. The fuel electrode of an alcohol fuel cell is formed by coating a base material with an electrode paste thus produced and then drying the base material.
