Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk which can further reduce magnetic spacing, is excellent in the durability thereof, especially in a glide characteristic and LUL durability, and has a high reliability under an ultra-low floating height of a magnetic head resulting from a recent rapid high recording density and under a very severe environmental durability caused by use diversity.SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a magnetic disk obtained by sequentially forming at least a magnetic layer, a carbon-based protective layer and a lubrication layer on a substrate, a lubricant composition having a perfluoro polyether main chain in a molecular structure and containing a lubricant compound having an aromatic group or a phosphazene ring is subjected to film formation on the protective layer to form a lubrication layer, and ultraviolet light irradiation is subsequently applied to the magnetic disk by adjusting atmospheric temperature within the range of 50 to 180°C under a nitrogen gas or inert gas atmosphere in which oxygen concentration is 5 volume% or low.
