PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device, a rewriting control method, and a rewriting control program which are capable of reducing the number of times of data rewriting to storage means on a tag provided in a toner bottle.SOLUTION: An image forming device mounts a detachable member having storage means thereon. The image forming device comprises power monitoring means which monitors whether or not a voltage of a DC power supply supplied to the image forming device is equal to or lower than a predetermined value, and determining means which determines whether or not to update the information related to the detachable member, which is stored in the storage means. The determining means determines to update the information related to the detachable member when a printing process has been performed until the voltage of the DC power supply has become equal to or lower than the predetermined value after the information related to the detachable member has been updated the last time.
