GENERATING METHOD AND DISPLAYING METHOD FOR ENCRYPTED INFORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encrypted pattern decrypting method and an encrypted recording medium that use a generating method for encrypted patterns which can be restored with one common encrypted pattern with respect to encrypted patterns (shared pictures) into which a plurality of original pictures have been encrypted while using a visual secret sharing scheme in which two encrypted patterns are superposed one over the other to restore the original picture information, a plurality of shared pictures are displayed on a picture display device and a medium on which a common encrypted pattern is recorded is used in combination as a decrypting medium to restore the original pictures.SOLUTION: By an encrypted information generation method, generation of individual matching encrypted patterns from a plurality of original pictures is realized by comparing cells in the same positions in the original pictures and a common encrypted pattern and determining the values of the cells on the basis of the differences between them under prescribed conditions; a plurality of restored images can be obtained by sequentially displaying on a display unit the plurality of encrypted patterns generated in this manner and decrypting them with one common encrypted pattern.
