LIQUID LEAKAGE DETECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid leakage detector that surely detects a minute rate of liquid leaking into an outlet passage for liquid.SOLUTION: A liquid leakage detector 10 provided on an outlet passage for liquid comprises: a body case having a liquid introduction port 15 and a liquid discharge port 16; a flow thinning passage 17 that thins liquid flowing into the body case from the liquid introduction port 15 while allowing the liquid to flow through an action of gravity; a discharge groove 18 provided adjacent to the downstream end of the flow thinning passage 17 in the body case; and a pair of electrodes 14 that detect the liquid at a position apart from the discharge groove 18. When the liquid leakage rate is at a predetermined rate or lower, the water flows from the downstream end of the flow thinning passage 17 to the discharge groove 18, and when the liquid leakage rate exceeds the predetermined rate, the water flows from the downstream end of the flow thinning passage 17 over the discharge groove 18 to the upper face of a water receiver 21 with the result that the liquid leakage is detected through the pair of electrodes 14.
