FUEL EXCHANGE APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel exchange apparatus with improved earthquake resistance.SOLUTION: A fuel exchange apparatus 1 of this invention comprises: bridge rails 10 installed on a floor 3 around the periphery of a nuclear reactor pool 2 containing a nuclear reactor fuel rod; bridge wheels 21 running on the bridge rails 10; a bridge 20 having bridge leg parts 22 rotatably holding the bridge wheels 21; a trolley 32 running on the bridge 20 in a direction orthogonal to the bridge rails 10; and a grabbing tool 33 provided on the trolley 32 for inserting or withdrawing the fuel rod. Reception parts 41 are provided on the floor 3 apart from side faces 22a of the bridge leg parts 22. Floor-side horizontal force absorption parts 42 capable of absorbing force in a substantially horizontal direction are connected between the floor 3 and the reception parts 41.
