Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply evaluate the capability of a millimeter wave antenna by utilizing an existing evaluation environment.SOLUTION: A transmission section includes a first oscillator 3 for generating a basic frequency signal, a distributor 4 for distributing an output signal of the first oscillator 3, a first multiplier 5 for multiplying the distributed basic frequency signal to generate a local oscillation signal, a second oscillator 7 for generating a second frequency signal and a first mixer 6 for mixing the local oscillation signal with the second frequency signal, and radiates a RF output signal based on an output signal of the first mixer 6 from a transmission antenna 1 having a known characteristic. A reception section includes a second multiplier 12 for multiplying the distributed basic frequency signal to generate the local oscillation signal, a second mixer 11 for mixing a RF reception signal received by an antenna to be measured which is a reception antenna 2 with the local oscillation signal, and a level detector 14 for detecting a level of the second frequency signal converted into a low frequency region by the second mixer 11. A characteristic of the antenna to be measured is evaluated based on a detected output by the level detector 14.
