Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding door with a simple structure, which is capable of effectively preventing a finger of an operator from being squeezed in a space between butt ends when closing the folding door or a swing door, reducing an impact to the squeezed finger, if any, easily adding a finger squeezing prevention function to an existing folding door, and absorbing the impact resulting from collision between the butt ends of a door panel.SOLUTION: A folding door is provided with a plurality of door panels foldably linked with one another with hinges. The door panel has a soft deformable elastic sheet applied onto the butt end and a portion between the butt ends. A thickness of the soft elastic sheet at least at the portion between the butt ends is larger than half the distance of a gap between the butt ends in a closed state. The soft elastic sheet is structured to be deformed to move from a hinge side to a free end side in a width direction of the respective butt ends which approach when closing the folding door. The soft elastic sheet is further structured to self restore the deformation from the free end side to the hinge side when opening the respective butt ends. |
