IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for solving the problem of incapability in displaying down to the last, under such condition as a residual quantity of a battery would be used up if a content is displayed in normal manner.SOLUTION: The image display device operates on an electric power supplied from a battery, and regenerates a content that is received from an external device. The image display device includes: regeneration control means which identifies the remaining electric power in the battery and the amount of electric power required when regenerating a remaining portion of the content being regenerated at a current regeneration speed, and if the remaining electric power is less than the required electric power amount, outputs a command signal, to the external device, which changes the content so that the regeneration period of a content that is to be received thereafter becomes shorter; and content acquiring means which receives the content data representing the content that has been applied with the change and causes predetermined display means regenerate it.
