Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device, an image storage method and a program for playing a content while maintaining compatibility even if recording/playing formats of respective imaging devices are different when connecting any of the imaging devices having different recording/playing formats to an external recording medium to play the content.SOLUTION: An imaging device comprises: a folder confirmation unit 114 for confirming folder structure relating to a video recording/playing format constructed in an external recording medium; and a file conversion unit 116 for converting original video data to video data having the video recording/playing format corresponding to the folder structure constructed in the recording medium of the storage destination.
