POINTING SYSTEM, CONTROL DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for a pointing system and the like capable of easily moving a pointer displayed on a screen and easily performing click operation by using a pointing device emitting infrared ray and the like.SOLUTION: When a user presses a button 32 on a remote controller 30, an infrared ray is emitted from a light emission part 37. A PC 10 captures an object image 40 including a light spot 4 by an imaging part 13 and outputs the image to a control part 20. The control part 20 determines movement of the light spot 4 and lights-out of the light spot 4 in a light spot retrieval frame 42 provided within the object image 40. The control part 20 moves a pointer 1 on a screen 3 on the basis of the movement of the light spot 4, and executes processing of clicking and the like when the light spot 4 is turned off. It allows a user to move the pointer 1 on the screen 3 by performing space operation of the remote controller 30 while pressing the button 32, and to perform click operation and the like by releasing the pressing of the button 32.
