DESIGN SUPPORT SYSTEM AND DESIGN SUPPORT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design support system capable of efficiently verifying design and supporting a variety of design verification items.SOLUTION: The embodiment of the design support system includes: a parts data base for storing the three dimensional shape data and three dimensional layout data of each part which constitutes a device; a design standard data base, in which a plurality of verification items can be stored, for storing, item by item, information for specifying the part to be verified and acceptance criteria which are used to verify the shortest distance between the part to be verified and one or a plurality of peripheral parts; and a determination module for extracting the parts data of the part to be verified and the parts data of the peripheral parts corresponding to the extracted part to be verified from the parts data base item by item, thereby determining if the distance between the part to be verified and the peripheral parts satisfies the acceptance criteria or not.
