Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that, in a drive process for bistable nematic dot matrix liquid crystal display panels, electric charges seem to still remain in liquid crystals even when COM electrodes and SEG electrodes have reached a GND status in view of the observations that the write waveform has a DC component and, immediately after the end of write-in, liquid crystal molecules are not yet stable in orientation regulating force but reach stability only gradually and that, though a single round of write-in takes only a short time and poses no problem, the bistable liquid crystal display panel is destroyed as the rounds of write-in increase.SOLUTION: By a drive method for bistable liquid crystal display panels, immediately after applying a waveform for rewriting a bistable liquid crystal display panel, an AC waveform of a lower voltage than the final pulse of the waveform is applied, and the voltage is gradually brought close to 0 V.
