PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of blocking the flow of cool air 41 and reducing power consumption even if the front face 53a of a storage case 53 is formed in the vicinity of a refrigeration compartment door 28 so as to increase the inner capacity of the storage case 53 of a refrigeration compartment 26.SOLUTION: The refrigerator is provided with: a storage case 53 in a part of a refrigeration compartment 26; a plurality of door pockets 64 in a refrigeration compartment door 28 provided above the storage case 53; and a gap formed of a part of the plurality of door pockets 64 and the front face 53a of the storage case 53. Cold air 41 leaving the side vent 45 of a refrigeration compartment duct 40 is blocked by the gap 65 formed of the front face 53a of the storage case 53 and the bottom 64b of a door pocket 64a in the refrigeration compartment door 28. By decreasing the amount of cold air 41 that infiltrates below the refrigeration compartment door 28, the amount of heat exchange between the cold air 41 near the bottom of the refrigeration compartment door 28 and heat infiltrating from the outside is decreased.
