Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a damper capable of reducing starting torque and suppressing a variation in the torque at a low speed.SOLUTION: Silicone oil 18 is filled in a housing 12 of a rotary damper 10, and a rotor braking plate 24 connected to a lower end of a rotary shaft 22 of a rotor 20 is rotatably housed in the housing 12. Furthermore, between the housing 12 and the rotary shaft 22, an O-ring 30 is arranged to prevent the silicone oil 18 from leaking out of the housing 12. The O-ring 30 is composed of silicone rubber having hardness of 25-45 based on a JISK6253 durometer test (type A), and reduces the starting torque of the rotary damper 10 and suppress the variation in the torque at the low speed.
