Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device for a vehicle compartment in which a range of a sensor sheet functioning as a sensor switch for a light source is expanded, an illumination lens is made thin and reduced in weight, and impairing of the lens function of the illumination lens is suppressed, and which is prevented from being deteriorated in design performance and a stage effect of the illumination device for a vehicle compartment.SOLUTION: The illumination device for a vehicle compartment includes: a case 1 installed in a vehicle compartment ceiling; a circuit board 2 for illumination which is incorporated in the case 1; the illumination lens 10 which is fitted in and attached to the case 1 and covers the circuit board 2 and the light source 4; and a light transmission sensor sheet 20 inserted between the circuit board 2 and the illumination lens 10. The sensor sheet 20 is formed with: a flexible base material layer 22 laminated from the circuit board 2 and a rear face 12 of the illumination lens 10 to a peripheral wall 13; an electrode layer 23 which is formed in the base material layer 22 and contacts with the rear face 12 of the illumination lens 10; an electrode terminal which is formed in the base material layer 22 and is connected to a land 3 of the circuit board 2; and a conductive line which is formed in the base material layer 22 and electrically connects the electrode layer 23 to an electrode terminal 24.
