Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image producing device capable of showing the display performance of a display while making full use of an image produced by an existing on-vehicle device.SOLUTION: An image producing device 100 is equipped with a liquid crystal display device 40 installed toward an occupant of a vehicle, and produces a display image 1 indicated by the liquid crystal display device 40. A control circuit 20 of the image producing device 100 obtains an image signal of a main image 2a produced by a number of pixels smaller than that of the display image 1 in a navigation device 50. The control circuit 20 has an image drawing portion 22 producing a complement image 2b complementing the difference between the pixel numbers of the display image 1 and the main image 2a, and an image synthesizing portion 23 synthesizing the main image 2a and the complement image 2b to produce the display image 1 in which the main image 2a and the complement image 2b are arranged in parallel. The image signal of the display image 1 is outputted to the liquid crystal display device 40, thereby making the device 40 indicate the display image 1.
