Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element using an electrolytic solution which hardly causes the deterioration of the solar cell and achieves a high energy conversion efficiency even if an amount of iodine to be added to the electrolytic solution is significantly reduced and to provide a dye-sensitized solar cell using the photoelectric conversion element.SOLUTION: The dye-sensitized solar cell or the photoelectric conversion element has a semiconductor electrode layer including dye-sensitized semiconductor particles, an electrolytic solution layer and a counter electrode, which are laminated on a conductive support in this order. The electrolytic solution layer includes: a mixture of an inorganic salt selected from alkali metal halide, alkali earth metal halide and ammonium halide, and imidazolium salt as a solute; and one or both of glycol ether and five-membered cyclic ether as a solvent. The density of triiodide ions as redox pairs in the electrolytic solution is 0-0.05 mol/L. |
