LIGHT SOURCE AND LIGHTING FIXTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source capable of reducing thermal effect on electrical wiring and lessening load on a connection section of the electrical wiring and improving reliability.SOLUTION: The light source 16 includes a plurality of light-emitting modules 37, and a heat-radiation unit 38. Wiring connection sections 42 are arranged on both side positions in a horizontal direction of the light-emitting module 37, and electrical wirings 44 are connected to both sides of the wiring connection sections 42 along the horizontal direction. Two radiators 45 of heat-radiation unit 38 are arranged by lining up in the horizontal direction, and a space for a wiring insertion section 52 is arranged between the radiators 45. Respective electrical wirings 44 respectively pulled out in an opposite direction of two light-emitting modules 37 are connected to the lighting-up circuit board 20 through a lower part of the radiator 45 after the electrical wirings are made to pass from a front side to a rear side of the radiator 45 through the wiring insertion section 52 while keeping along the horizontal direction.
