Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assay method for measuring binding between specific binding pair members qualitatively or quantitatively using a response of a magnetically responsive reagent to the effect of a magnetic field.SOLUTION: The presence of an analyte is determined based on whether or not a magnetically responsive reagent binds to a mobile solid phase reagent. The response of the magnetically responsive reagent or the mobile solid phase reagent or both to the effect of a magnetic field varies depending on the extent of the binding. Therefore, the presence or amount of an analyte contained in a sample is accurately measured by measuring the response to a magnetic field of the magnetically responsive reagent or the response to a magnetic field of the mobile solid phase reagent.
