Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-soluble working oil agent for a fixed-abrasive wire saw, the oil agent having excellent rust preventing property and cutting property compared to the conventional commercial water-soluble working oil agent, and improving efficiency of cutting, in a process of cutting a brittle material such as glass, sapphire, ceramics, silicon and neodymium using a fixed-abrasive wire saw.SOLUTION: The water-soluble working oil agent composition for a fixed-abrasive wire saw contains (A) glycols such as diethylene glycol, (B) carboxylic acids having 2 to 6 carbon atoms such as citric acid, (C) an alkali metal compound such as potassium hydroxide, and (D) water, and has a pH of 8.0 to 8.6.
