STATIC ELECTRICITY REMOVING MECHANISM OF PAPER FEEDING CASSETTE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a static electricity removing mechanism of a paper feeding cassette preventing clothing or the like from being caught and reducing a manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: A static electricity removing mechanism 60 of the paper feeding cassette includes: an electricity removing member 61 mounted on a paper feeding cassette 30 that stores paper; and a grounding face 70 provided on a cassette mounting part 50 where the paper feeding cassette 30 is mounted. The electricity removing member 61 has a first coil spring part 62 formed like a conical coil spring and a second coil spring part 63 seamlessly continuing from the first coil spring part 62. The static electricity removing mechanism 60 can remove static electricity charged on the paper feeding cassette 30 by elastic contact with the grounding face 70 in the order of the first coil spring part 62 and the second coil spring part 63 when the paper feeding cassette 30 is mounted on the cassette mounting part 50.
