Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid an operation trouble accompanied by a variation in the flow-in thickness of mold powder in a mold width direction.SOLUTION: In continuous casting in which heat conductive bodies of a coagulated shell 2, a mold powder layer 3 and a mold 4 exist between molten steel 1 and cooling water for casting, a heat transfer coefficient α between the coagulated shell 2 and the mold 4 and a heat transfer coefficient β between the molten steel 1 and the coagulated shell 2 are obtained in a plurality of mold width direction positions, respectively, and when a heat transfer coefficient αwhich reaches a maximum value and a heat transfer coefficient αwhich reaches a minimum value at the plurality of mold width direction positions reach values which are widely different from prescribed numerical values or higher, casting speed is decreased. In this case, it is estimated that there is generated a variation in the flow-in thickness of the mold powder in the mold width direction, and thereby a growing time of the coagulated shell 2 is secured and the unevenness of the thickness of the coagulated shell 2 is suppressed by decreasing the casting speed. |
