PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor, an information processing method and a program therefor for implementing a radio communication system having a high convenience and security.SOLUTION: A television set according to the present invention receives various requests for establishing connection for radio communication from an external radio communication equipment. Then, the television set transmits various responses to these requests to the radio communication equipment. As shown in Fig. 6 at step 101, transmission of these various responses is switched ON when a user selects a direct mode. Therefore, for example, the user, when wanting to perform the radio communication with the external radio communication equipment, can arbitrarily select the direct mode to set the transmission of the above various responses to ON-state. This makes it possible to inhibit probability of an accidental connection between the television set and the radio communication equipment before the user knows, and thus, implement a wireless LAN with the high convenience and security for the user.
