ATTENDANCE REGISTRATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attendance registration system capable of surely preventing a fraudulent act such as proxy attendance in which someone acts for a non-participant in attendance registration of a lecture and enabling registering the previous attendance of the lecture retrospectively at attendance on the following day even when a participant fails to carry his/her attendance registration means.SOLUTION: The attendance registration system comprises a communication tag carried by each participant and a portable information terminal associated with a lecture. The participant brings his/her carrying communication tag close to the portable information terminal and transmits personal attribute data such as his/her face image and name to the portable information terminal. At the same time, the participant transmits his/her seating seat number at the lecture to the portable information terminal by his/her own operation. When all participants perform such operation sequence sequentially, all personal attribute data and their seating seat numbers of all participants are registered to the portable information terminal. When the portable information terminal is brought to an instructor after completion of the attendance registration of all participants, the instructor operates the portable information terminal on his/her own, and the personal attribute data of all participants such as face images and names in a layout identical to the occupied status of sheets by the participants are displayed on a single screen.
