Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire tread, which simultaneously satisfies the hardness, the breaking strength and tan δ (0°C), and is improved in the dry performance and the wet performance; and to provide a pneumatic tire using the same.SOLUTION: There are provided the rubber composition for a tire tread prepared by blending 60 to 120 pts.mass of a reinforcing filler (here, ≥40 mass% of the reinforcing filler is silica), and 1 to 15 pts.mass of a polystyrene resin modified with a dithiocarbamoyl group, in 100 pts.mass of a dienic rubber containing ≥50 pts.mass of SBR, and the pneumatic tire using the rubber composition for a tire tread, for the tread (3).
