PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten drying time and reduce occurrence of wrinkle in clothes.SOLUTION: A clothing dryer includes: an air channel switching unit 12 for selectively switching between a first air channel 9 having a first air outlet 8 with an opening to a drum 1 and a second air channel 11 having a second air outlet 10 with an opening to the drum 1 and with an air passage cross-sectional area smaller than that of the first air outlet 8; a blowing unit 4 for blowing drying air so that when the first air channel 9 is selected, a larger volume of drying air is blown from the first air outlet 8 into the drum 1 than when the second air channel 11 is selected, and when the second air channel 11 is selected, a higher-pressure and higher-speed drying air is blown from the second air outlet 10 into the drum 1 than when the first air channel 9 is selected; and a control unit 70 for controlling a drum drive unit 3 to switch between rotation sequences of the drum 1 depending on the selected air channel, thereby shortening drying time and reducing occurrence of wrinkle in clothes.
