TRANSMISSION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To insert a dummy bit into a information bit so that decoding error is effectively reduced.SOLUTION: In the transmission method of a communication system, the information bit in which a dummy bit is inserted is organized and encoded, and the organized code in which the dummy bit has been deleted is transmitted, and then the dummy bit that has been deleted by the transmission side is inserted into the received organized code, for decoding, at the receiving side. Based on a specified encoding rate, transmission rate, and a bit length for determining transmission rate, the size of a dummy bit that is inserted into the information bit is determined. If the total size of the information bit and the dummy bit is larger than a specified size, the information bit is divided into code blocks. A dummy bit is inserted as a predetermined pattern into respective information bits that have been divided. The information bit into which the dummy bit has been inserted is organized and encoded. The dummy bit is deleted from the organized bit to generate an organized code, and then the organized code is transmitted.
