PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to recognize that a communication channel is switched during downloading of contents.SOLUTION: A terminal device includes: a first communication section for communicating with a server device via a first communication channel; a second communication section for communicating with the server device via a second communication channel; a content receiving section for downloading contents stored in the server device while utilizing the first or second communication channel; a determination section for determining whether or not a communication channel to be utilized for downloading by the content receiving section is switched from the first communication channel to the second communication channel during downloading of contents; and a notification section in which, when the determination section determines that the communication channel to be utilized for downloading by the content receiving section is switched from the first communication channel to the second communication channel, a message previously designated for the contents being downloaded by the server device is notified to a user of the terminal device.
