PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rammer that can combine upper and lower protective members with external and internal cylinders effectively and simply, and that can reduce the cost.SOLUTION: In a rammer 1 including nesting type external cylinder 17 and internal cylinder 16 for transmitting vibration to a ground leveling shoe 5, the external cylinder 17 and the internal cylinder 16 are surrounded by a tube 4 expansible as a protector while the external cylinder 17 and the internal cylinder 16 are each combined with the upper or lower end of the tube 4. The downside part of the internal cylinder 16 that combines with the tube 4 has an enlarged diameter enlarging outwardly, and the downside part of the internal cylinder with the enlarged diameter is pressed into the bottom end of the tube 4.
