Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for highly selectively producing a cyclohexadiene derivative the production of which requires multistep reaction process by a normal organic synthesis and is difficult, from an alkyne and an alkene which are simple organic compounds by one step.SOLUTION: The method for producing the cyclohexadiene derivative includes reacting a terminal alkyne with an internal alkyne and an alkene in the presence of a low-valent early periodic metal compound. In another embodiment, the method for producing a polysubstituted 1,3-cyclohexadiene derivative includes subjecting three components of the terminal alkyne, the internal alkene and the alkene to a cyclic addition reaction. The low-valent early periodic metal compound used for the method is also provided.
