The summarized comic image generation device includes an image feature element extraction means for extracting a plurality of image feature elements from each of the frame images Fi, an importance calculation means for calculating an importance Score (Fi) for each of the frame images Fi on the basis of the plurality of image feature elements, an important frame image selection means for selecting a prescribed number of frame images in order of importance, and a summarized image generation means for connecting a prescribed number of the selected frame images and generating summarized comic images.
