PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which is excellent in blocking resistance, and low temperature fixability.SOLUTION: The toner includes toner particles containing a binder resin, coloring agent, and a styrene based resin containing a carboxyl group. The toner particles are produced in an aqueous medium. The toner particle contains 50.0 mass% or more of styrene-acrylic based resin component. A cyclohexane insoluble component A after extraction of four hours by Soxlet extraction constitutes 70.0 mass% or more of the toner, and the cyclohexane insoluble component B after extraction of 24 hours by Soxlet extraction constitutes 40.0 mass% or less of the toner. When a Z average molecular weight of THF soluble component of the styrene based resin containing a carboxyl group that weight is measured by GPC is represented by Mw and a weight average molecular weight of the THF soluble component is represented by Mz, Mw is not less than 10000 and not more than 30000, and Mz/Mw is not less than 1.62 and not more than 5.00.
