Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel foam having light weight, high elasticity, high compressibility, surface stickiness, softness controlled over a wide range, and stability in air.SOLUTION: There is provided the gel foam obtained by effectively forming a composite from a polymer of a water-soluble organic monomer, an exfoliated lamellar clay mineral, a medium of low volatility, and thermally expandable microcapsules, i.e. an organic/inorganic composite gel foam containing the medium and expanded thermally expandable microcapsules in a three-dimensional network formed by the polymer of the organic monomer composed mainly of a water-soluble acrylamide derivative and the expandable clay mineral.
