Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary device for elevator repairing work, capable of controlling a hoist during replacement of a control board even when there is only one elevator, and to provide a repairing method for the elevator.SOLUTION: The auxiliary device 10 for elevator repairing work, which controls a hoist 2 having a motor 21 and a brake 22, includes: a motor control unit 11 for controlling driving of the motor 21 in the state of being electrically connected to the motor 21; a movable member 12a; a brake control unit 12 for operating the movable member 12a to operate/release the brake 22 by associating the brake 22 with the movable member 12a; and an operation switch 13 for operating the driving control of the motor 21 by the motor control unit 11 and the operation of operation/releasing of the brake 22 by the movable member 12a of the brake control unit 12, for moving a carrier 5 up and down.
