Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for highly accurately sorting raw material and crushed plastic pieces in various shapes for recycling plastics, which removes the plastics containing certain elements from plastic wastes and selects the recyclable plastics.SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a thickness adjuster 1 which adjusts the thickness of a raw material plastic piece 2 into the predetermined thickness; an X-ray irradiator 6 which irradiates a plastic piece 3, whose thickness has been adjusted, with an X-ray; an X-ray detector 7 which detects transmitted X-rays; a discriminator 8 which discriminates an object 3a not to be removed and an object 3b to be removed whose data of the transmitted X-rays are compared to the predetermined discrimination value; and a separator 9 which separates the objects based on the discrimination result.
