Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reception device and signal receiving method which can fully protect video data transferred via a bus when a plurality of digital video devices are connected via the bus and the video data is transferred via the bus among the plurality of digital video devices.SOLUTION: A signal is received to authenticate whether data transfer is permitted between a data storage device connected via a data bus. As a result of the authentication, if it is determined that the data transfer is permitted, an encrypted signal is transmitted to the data storage device via the data bus. The received signal is then decrypted. Thus, control such as transferring data only to a specific party to which the transfer is permitted or permitting data reception only by a specific party can be performed.
