MULTI-DIRECTIONAL INPUT DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-directional input device that can reduce ware on a driving part of an operating body to ensure reliability even if undesired operation, which is an operating body is moved while being pressed with excessive force, is performed.SOLUTION: The multi-directional input device comprises: an operating body 9 having an operating part 92 whose part is exposed from an external opening of a housing, a flange-like movable part 91 which has the operating part 92 on one side and a driving part 94 projected to an opposite side of the movable part 91; a pair of slide members 6 and 7 which has a passing-through part into which the driving part is inserted and is slidable in a direction orthogonal to the operating body 9 in accordance with the movement; and detection means to detect the slide movement of the operating body 9. In the multi-directional input device, a lubricant 12 is arranged between a tip of the driving part 94 and an opposite face 41a which is disposed opposite to the tip of the driving part 94 with a clearance when the operating body 9 is in an unoperated state.
