Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the recovery rate of a transition metal hydroxide in a liquid/solid separation step for the precipitated slurry in a production method of the transition metal hydroxide which is a precursor for a positive electrode of a secondary battery.SOLUTION: The method for producing a transition metal hydroxide includes a step in which precipitated slurry is obtained by bringing a transition metal-containing solution into contact with an alkali and the precipitated slurry is subjected to liquid/solid separation. Coagulated particles of the transition metal is formed by bringing the precipitated slurry in contact with a coagulant. The precipitated slurry is then separated into liquid and solid.
