FLUID FILTER FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid filter for automatic transmissions which improves the rigidity and moldability of a case, reduces a pressure loss when the filter is used, and is impressively excellent in external appearance.SOLUTION: The fluid filter for automatic transmissions includes: a resin-made upper-side case 2 having an outlet 2a; a resin-made lower-side case 3 having an inlet 3a; and a filter element 6 having a resin-made holding frame 5 which holds a filter material 4 and its peripheral part and is arranged between the upper-side case and the lower-side case. In addition, at least either of the upper-side case or the lower-side case has: a pair of connection parts 8, 10 which are connected to the wall parts 5a of the holding frame respectively, the wall parts being opposite to each other; and a communication wall 7, 17 which makes the pair of connection parts communicate with each other and swells toward the outside of the case, the communication wall having an arc-shaped longitudinal cross section.
