PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver unit capable of stably extracting an additional information signal superimposed on reception signal of a television broadcast even if a radio wave intensity is weak.SOLUTION: A signal extracting means includes a code extracting means for extracting an identification code indicating a type of information contained in an additional information signal superimposed upon a vertical blanking interval of a video signal of a television broadcast, and a code determination means for determining whether or not the identification code matches an identification code conformed to predetermined specifications, in which the signal extracting means extracts, when the identification code determined to match the identification code conformed to the predetermined specifications, the subsequent additional information signal. A plurality of signal extracting means are provided so that if the code extracting means included in one signal extracting means fails in extraction of the identification code, or if the code determination means included in one signal extracting means determines that the identification code does not match the identification code conformed to the predetermined specifications, another signal extracting means extracts the subsequent additional information signal.
