ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC TONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner having excellent charge rising property and antifog property while maintaining excellent low temperature fixability and storage property.SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner is obtained by a method including a step of granulating a raw material containing a binder resin in an aqueous medium. The binder resin contains a polyester resin obtained by condensation polymerization of an alcohol component and a carboxylic acid component, and comprises a polyester resin obtained by using an aromatic compound expressed by formula (I) as a carboxylic acid component and/or an alcohol component. In the formula, Rrepresents a hydrogen atom, hydroxyl group or methoxy group; and X represents a hydrogen atom, aldehyde group, aryl group, vinyl group, or a hydroxyl group or a carboxyl group which may have a methoxy group or connecting group.
