TOWER-CLIMBING PREVENTION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tower-climbing prevention device that is attached to a leg of a power transmission tower for preventing an outsider from climbing the tower along the leg while enabling a regular worker to smoothly climb the tower through an opened climbing passage, resulting in reducing workload of the worker through an efficient operation of a locking means for switching back and forth between the open and closed states of the tower-climbing prevention device.SOLUTION: A tower-climbing prevention device comprises a fixing member 3 that is fixed to a leg of a transmission tower and has an opening 4, openable/closable members 10A and 10B that are pivotally supported for freely opening or closing the opening, a locking means 20 that locks an edge of the openable/closable member to the other edge when each of the members is in the closed state so as to result in an unopenable state, and an unlocking means 40. The locking means comprises a fixed lock piece 21 that is fixed to an openable/closable member and a movable lock piece 30 that is supported with another openable/closable member so as to be movable in the radial direction of the circular main body and to be locked to the fixed lock piece when moved in the outer diameter direction to the fixed lock piece in the closed position.
