Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the speed of image recording, while suppressing the occurrence of banding, when multipass recording is performed.SOLUTION: Print data on AM dot data is divided into 4×4 pixel blocks Z and a dot recording order is decided by a pixel group unit comprising two pixels which are adjacent to each other horizontally, based on a mask pattern. At this point, such an order that pixel groups which are adjacent to each other horizontally or vertically are not continuous is made, first pixel groups A comprising two pixel groups separated one by one vertically, horizontally or diagonally are placed in a first rank position, second pixel groups B arranged on the right and left of the first pixel groups A are placed in a second order rank position, third pixel groups C arranged on the top and bottom of the first pixel groups A are placed in a third rank position, and fourth pixel groups D arranged diagonal to the first pixel groups are placed in a fourth rank position. Then, each pixel is rearranged in order of actually recording a dot, based on nozzle arrangement and the conveyance schedule of an inkjet head 32.
