Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more easily hold and grip an object, even when arranging a plurality of objects by narrowing a mutual clearance.SOLUTION: A gripping device includes a pair of gripping claws 3a and 3b for holding and gripping the object 1, and a support moving body 7 moving in a space by operably supporting the pair of gripping claws. The pair of gripping claws hold the object by mutually approaching or release the object by mutually separating, by being driving in the reciprocating direction to the support moving body. The reciprocating direction is the oblique direction to the direction of holding the object 1 by the pair of gripping claws 3a and 3b.
