Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device containing an optical sensor which detects illuminance of ambient light on a display unit thereof and to which light from a nearby light source is applied by devising a guide lens for guiding the ambient light to the optical sensor.SOLUTION: One end face of a guide lens which is directed outward from an image display device is provided with sawtooth-like slope faces. Angles of the slope faces are different in accordance with height direction positions, so that light having incident angles in a predetermined range is guided to an optical sensor at each height direction position. Light from a distant light source is hard to be guided to the optical sensor at any height direction positions because the incident angle of the light is small.
